Name: Wildstrike
Gender: She-cat
Clan/Rank: ThunderClan deputy
Age: 30 moons
Physical Description:
At first look, Wildstrike is intimidating, if not frightening. The first reason would be her size and muscles. If it weren't for her thinner bones and small paws, she would appear as a powerful tom who spends a lot of time running.
The second reason would be her dark and confusing pelt. It's a deep tawny color, nearly black. Covering it is a thick and scattered dapple of orange and cream tabby. Her fur is thin but gets thick and spiky around her back,
Her face is also very gaunt with the edges of her cheek bones visible in the light. Her muzzle is small and white, standing out against her dark face. To balance it off is a pair of small, roundish ears.
Her eyes are a shocking orangey-amber, round and always wide open. They're almost like little warning signs to tell anyone who would dare to bother her that it's probably not a good idea. Above them on either side are patches of orange, which only add to the effect.
Personality: A natural born leader, Wildstrike loves nothing more than being in charge. While some cats might be reluctant to boss their clan-mates around, this is her great joy in life. If one does not fear her for her sharp tongue and firey temper, she is still respected with good reason.
She’s intelligent, quick-thinking, brave almost to the point of recklessness, and seeks nothing but the well-being of her clan. The warrior code is also something she doesn’t take lightly, and she has no reluctance in punishing those who break it.
Her biggest flaw as a cat and a leader is her temper. They say her bark is worse than her bite: and that’s saying something, because she’s quite talented in her fighting skills. Her temper is a ticking bomb, ready to blow up under any pressure. This gets her into tough spots with the other clans, and makes her unapproachable to her clan-mates who don’t know how to keep her calm.
She isn’t always so high-strung, though. If things are going her way, she can actually be a pleasant cat, handing out compliments and praise to the cats she’d usually be barking orders at. While it doesn’t seem like it most of the times, she loves her clan-mates dearly, and wishes she had time to get to know some of them better. However, she’s remains emotionally detached, and makes up for it by being the best deputy she can.
Brief History:
The daughter of ThunderClan’s previous leader, Sharpstar, you could say Wildkit was born into her rank. Though without siblings, she was clearly the dominant kit in the nursery, always bossing the others around, and the others usually following. Her mother didn't encourage it and wished her kit would be nicer and make more friends instead of followers.
Her father gave her special attention, though: taking her out into the forest even before her apprenticeship, showing her his duties as the clan leader, and even giving her the best fighter in the clan- Redfang – as a mentor.
She trained hard, and the only rode bump in her apprenticeship was her temper: she and Redfang could snap at each other like they belonged to enemy clans, both being hot-headed. Strangely, it didn’t take long for them to forget their quarrels ever happened: Wildpaw would quietly accept whatever improvements her mentor had told her to make, and Redfang would quietly forgive his moody apprentice. In some sense, they were perfect for each other, and Wildpaw is a brilliant warrior today because of him. He kept her training for an unusually long time, which frustrated her, but she knew he only wanted her to have as much experience as possible- and maybe learn some patience.
Sometimes it even seemed Redfang was her only friend, because she was anti-social around her peers, and most of them stayed away anyway because of her bossiness and occasional freak-out. She knew why none of them liked her though, so she discarded all normal hopes of friendship and love and hoped only for one thing: to lead her clan some day. And her father knew it. He wanted her to become deputy when Firesky stepped down, but she had just become a warrior and hadn't had an apprentice yet. He gave the position to Dreamsong.
He died a few moons later, because of the awful leaf-bare: he was already quite old, had lost a lot of lives already, and on top of that got bad strain of whitecough. Before his death, he requested that Dreamsong make his daughter deputy. She had been given an apprentice by then, and so it was done.
However upset with her father's death, Wildstrike was speechlessly thrilled that she had finally attained her dream.
