Sparrowstar, Windclan Leader
You may call me;;
Sparrowstar
The moons that I have seen;;
22 moons
I was born a;;
Male
My heart belongs to;;
Windclan
My responsibilities are those of a;;
Leader
Don't Judge me by my Appearance;;
A small cat, like any that you'll find in Windclan. Yet still, he's a tough little thing, lean and muscular. Just because he's slightly childish, doesn't mean he's built like an adolescent. He's lithe, yes, but can run and run, and is stocky enough to hold his own against even the biggest cat. Legs are long, but strides are filled not with power or pride; a somewhat playful bounce remains in his step to this day. Tail is long, the perfect rudder when making sharp turns and such. Claws are sharp and can be quite menacing, but usually they are sheathed, and kept hidden, even on the rare occasion that the leader is angered.
His pelt is short and soft, slicking over his slim body with a slight shine. A dual colored coat, a simple white and brown. Only his tail has black on it, stripes down like a tabby and ends with a black tip. His toes are randomly splotched with brown and white, and brown fur sits at at the back of his legs and thighs. His head has the classic 'M' of a tabby, though it's not as dark as his tail, being dark brown opposed to black.
Face has a boyish charm to it, wide green eyes with a small brown nose. White whiskers frame a muzzle that's always turned into a smile. His eyes are almost impossible to read, but he keeps his expressions simple. Innocent-esque, he is sometimes mocked for the way he handles his emotions, letting things slide off of his back like a riverclanner. Ears are perched playfully, raising in amusement at times. Fuzzy and brown, they're also a deadly tool, because he can be a rather silent warrior only because of his ability to listen.
Dig a little deeper;;
A young leader, a tom that's both brash and thoughtful. He's a sweet tom, but can appear quite laid back when others expect someone bold and relentless. He believes that Windclan should be as it's element. As swift and varied as the wind. Capable of making changes and switching gears as the wind does it's directions. He's a tom that believes in order, but isn't afraid to bend a rule when need be. Sometimes his flexibility can get him in quite a bit of trouble, but he is capable of making harsh decisions.
A pleaser to others, but also to himself. He will put himself on the line, but expects his clan to do the same. A breeze won't knock at the towering trees of Thunderclan, nor will it cut through the darkness in Shadowclan, the swift waters of Riverclan would remain untouched; but together? Windclan can create a wind storm! A tempest, a tornado! Thunderclan has been the strongest for so long, and it's because of their ability to change. That's what Sparrowstar wants for his warriors, wants for his entire clan. For them to work together and become something great; because fighting against the tide is hard, but worth it if the tide starts to back you up.
He isn't the most liked of leaders. The spunky tom can be quite childish at times, affectionate to say the least. Taboo for the position he holds but strangely fit. The leader to look down on, the young unexperienced tom. But also the one to be wary of; because the way he thinks and acts can change so swiftly. Air of aloofness can be replaced with tension and anger with the flick of a tail. Sometimes mood swings are uncalled for of course, but he keeps himself in check; especially for his clanmates. The warriors that look to him for leadership, the kits that want to grow up to be like their parents and their leader. Sparrowstar refuses to quit, and thus, is very stubborn.
But not brash. He hides his opinions unless they're necessary. Rather secretive with other clans and their members. He's not slow to lend a paw, in fact, can be considered too caring for cats that don't lie under his rule. But what he is slow to do is to trust those he protects. Sparrowstar will lend a paw and send them packing once they can stand, because betrayal is not something that the tom will tolerate.
Although more of a talker than a fighter, he's strong. But strength isn't what the Windclan leader prides himself on, but like most of his clan, it's his speed. He's quick, in more ways than one. Although courageous, loyal and protective like most leaders; the way he carries himself sometimes makes him seem quite easy to knock over. Hopefully his enemies will know that being young doesn't mean he's weak.
Aren't satisfied with what you know?
Read on;;
Sparrowkit, a tough little thing with a big smile and a can-do attitude. He wanted to be a strong warrior someday, and make his father proud. His mother was meek, timid, and looked nothing like her only son. But she had his spirit, even though she was quiet she was so very free spirited. Living life on the winds that carried her along, she raised her kitten to be loving and accepting, giving the now leader an open minded-ness that's almost unheard of. He listened almost as well as he talked; a rare trait for one so young.
But boy did he talk! Little chitterbox was never quiet like his mother. Her father found the little boy extremely annoying, frown ever present when he was around. But that didn't mean that he had no faith in the kit, no, that was farthest from the truth. "You may think that mouth ain't nothin' but a bunch of squirrel chitter. But do you know anyone else that can flap those gums so long and still get his point across? No body but a leader's got talent like that. I'm tellin' you, he's gonna be important."
Who would have thought that the old man would be right.
Sparrowpaw's mentor, wasn't as impressed. He taught the kit what silence was, and at first? It was lonely. His teacher rarely spoke to him, only teaching him through actions and movements. The kitten hated it! His lessons were dull, his days were silent and his only company was so painfully quiet that he swore that he would go mad! But... it made him listen. Not only to other cats, but to the animals around him. Squirrels, birds, everything. They all had different sounds for different meanings. Different calls and warnings that a clan cat could find handy.
But Sparrowpaw was still full of energy, and his lessons only made him anticipate his time with others. Still, chatter siphoned off and he could hold a pleasant conversation without bursting off into another area of talk. He no longer chitted, but truly spoke; and it wasn't long before what he said started making a difference.
It was the day of his ceremony that it all began to make sense. His mentor? Was mute. The male could never speak to begin with; and still, had done a wonderful job teaching Sparrowpaw everything that he had to know. The kitten was proud of his mentor, proud of himself for working with him. And after six months of apprenticeship? He cared deeply for the male and knew that he'd never be able to repay him for the lessons that were learned.
Sparrowpaw became Sparrowwing, and he worked hard as a warrior. A warrior not only fast, but smart. Capable of speaking well, but also being skillfully silent. Tom rose through the ranks, barely ever touching the ground. He earned his clan's respect through his tasks and abilities... not that he was perfect. There were days that his carefree attitude would rub a cat's fur the wrong way. Or his chitter with strangers would lead to a small dispute between clans or rogues. But he was loyal, and he was trustworthy, not to mention it would do you good not to tune him out all of the time. Believe it or not he often had important things to say.
He was named deputy less than six months after his warrior naming. Youngest deputy to be called to duty, but the leader trusted him more than any other. His best friend, and a cat that he would easily give his life for. They brought Windclan to a new age; one where they thought more freely; acted more open than they had before. Some complained, they were acting like thunderclanners, all of this talk of being kind to other clans and speaking more than acting. But the leader knew that fighting wouldn't get them anywhere. Why not save their strength. Train their forces in ways other than sheer experience through fighting. Windclan was the fastest on foot! Why not be the quickest of the mind as well?
When the leader died, a horridly untimely death indeed... Sparrowwing was named Sparrowstar quickly. It was a whirlwind, no time to mourn the death of his friend at all. The tom was lonely, but gritted his teeth and bared the pain best he could. Because what would a leader be without loss? Knowing that he had to protect others from going through the same things that he did. Never did he want a warrior to have to feel the pain of loosing your closest friend. It happened, but he now had the will to fight it. He knew that talking things out wouldn't get you out of everything, even if it did help.
Sparrowstar carries the beliefs and reasonings of his fallen friend and Windclan's recently lost leader. He's new to leading his clan, and the experiences will all be things that he tackles for the first time. Tackles on his own. But he won't give up, and will do everything in his power to keep his clan strong.
Other;; Stars may fall but they never truly die.

D'awww! He's absolutely ahhhhh-dorable, Silver!!!!!! And his talkativity, that should make for some interesting disputes at Gatherings. I'm perfectly happy with your level of content — it suits your level of roleplaying magnificently, and doesn't bore me to tears. Good work! Accepted! A new leader now heads the Clan of Wind. Do your job well, and try not to tick off too many cats --Kiyana
