If you have no idea what we're roleplaying about, then this is the thread for you!!
To start, our subject is the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. Visit warriorcats.com for some insight on the books.
To give you an idea: The books are about cats living in a forest. They live in Clans, each Clan with it's own territory to hunt, sleep, and train. They hunt rodents and birds that lice among them, but can only hunt on their own territory. Otherwise, they are severely punished.
At every full moon the four Clans hold what's known as a Gathering. This is a meetng of the Clans to share news and such. A truce is in place for the time of a Gathering; no blood is to be shed at Fourtrees (where they meet).
The four Clans live by the guidance of the all powerful StarClan, the spirits of their warrior ancestors. These cats are dead, of course, but still manage to get their point along.
In each Clan their are specific positions assigned to each member. Most of them are warriors, who hunt to feed the Clan and fight in battles to protect their Clanmates.
A kit is a cat under the age of 6 moons (months). They live in the nursery with their mother.
Once a kit reaches the age of 6 moons they become an apprentice, whichvis a cat training to become a warrior. Either that, or if the kit possesses a special knowledge they become a medicine cats apprentice. They train to become full medicine cats, which are like doctors. There is only one medicine cat per Clan, plus an apprentice if one is being trained.
After a normal apprentice is fully trained and has grown to be at least 12 moons, they become warriors. Unless it is a medicine cat apprentice, of course. They are only given their full name when their mentor deems it an appropriate time. But even then they are not full medicine cats. They must wait until their mentor joins StarClan to be a true medicine cat.
Every Clan has a leader. And every leader has a deputy of their choice. Once the leader retires or passes away the deputy becomes leader. A fairly simple concept, if you ask me ^^
Names...
Clan names are strange compared to most. They contain two parts, depending on what their status is. A kits name must end in -kit, an apprentice's in -paw, a warriors will end in the choice of their leader, and a leader must end in -star.
The first part of a cats name is usually an adjective to describe them. This is chosen by the parents.
Now, if all of this is too confusing, I suggest visiting the above link instead, or Googling some stff about the books. I'm no good at huge explanations, so I'm sorry I'd you feel this was just a waste of your time!
